NIPPON CHEMICON - Solutions for Automotive Electronics

With the “Solutions for Automotive Electronic 2020> 2021” overview catalog, NCC provides an insight into technologies and products specially designed for automotive applications.

In addition to further developed standard (catalog) series, new in this way are, above all, the option of packing several capacitors (also in combination with an inductor) in a modular design according to customer requirements and offering them as a plug & play solution. These modules are intended among others for 48V DC-Link applications in EV or HEV or as an ON-board charger. These system components are tailored to the harsh automotive environment, such as temperature / vibration / humidity.

Furthermore, individual radial electrolytic capacitors can now also be offered ready-made in a holder, as a standing or lying version. These plastic holders significantly improve the mechanical fixing to the circuit board by direct soldering. The annoying glueing is no longer necessary. The soldering process for these capacitors can be carried out with a vibration holder using the pin-in-paste method, by reflow. The material of the elcoholder is made of PA9T-GF35 and is therefore a plastic material with a high melting point.

The highly vibration-resistant radial electrolytic series GVD and GVA with vibration loads, specified with 40G, can be found separately for individual download below. These are characterized by 2 separately inserted curlings. The wound element of the electrolytic capacitor is stabilized inside the can without pressing it in. The GVD series is available in the range of 25 ~ 100V, with capacitance values ​​from 510 ~ 8,200µF and with an upper working temperature of +135°C or short-time up to +150°C, in the 18x30 and 18x35.5 mm cans.
