40 Gbps – When Speed Matters

Modern electronic devices need to transfer increasingly large amounts of data in less time. Whether high-performance industrial PCs, external SSD storage devices, docking stations or high-resolution displays, the requirements for connectivity and signal quality continue to increase.

The JAE DX07S024JAAR1100 supports USB4 Gen 3 with data transfer rates of up to 40 Gbps (2 × 20 Gbps).

Its optimized contact geometry has been specifically developed to meet the demanding signal integrity requirements of USB4. The connector belongs to JAE's USB4 40 Gbps-certified DX07 series.

Up to 240 W – Data and Power Through a Single Interface

In addition to high-speed data transmission, the DX07 series supports USB Power Delivery with Extended Power Range (EPR).

This enables power delivery of up to 240 W at 48 V and 5 A in appropriately designed systems.

For engineers, this opens up new possibilities: High-performance devices can receive both data and power through a single USB Type-C interface. In suitable applications, this can reduce the need for additional connectors and separate power supply solutions.

The full 240 W capability requires compatible USB PD controllers, appropriately rated cables and suitable system-level design.

Certified Signal Integrity for Reliable USB4 Connections

At data transfer rates of 40 Gbps, every detail matters. Even minor deviations in contact geometry, impedance or PCB integration can affect signal quality.

JAE has specifically optimized its DX07 series to meet these demanding requirements. USB4 Gen 3 certification includes defined connector signal integrity testing.

The DX07S024JAAR1100 features 24 contacts and is designed as a right-angle, dual-row SMT receptacle for PCB mounting.

With a mounting height of 1.57 mm and a mating depth of 5.5 mm, the connector can be integrated into compact electronic devices.

Additional mechanical retention through the connector housing supports a robust PCB connection.
