New website
We are very proud to be able to present our completely revised homepage to you, which is available with immediate effect.
After weeks of work on the appearance, content and technical aspects of the site, the reworked homepage of wittig ELECTRONIC GmbH is now available under the familiar web address of www.wittig-electronic.de – with a completely updated and modern feel. Alongside obvious things like introducing a modern design, the main focus of the relaunch was to adapt the content of the website to the needs of our customers, partners and potential clients.
Support for capacitors
Arisen out of necessity in 2000, and continuously refined and continued since then. Due to a faulty design of the circuit board with traces under a 4-pin high-voltage snap-in capacitor, the required creepage distances were no longer given. The layout artist had failed to see the rivet of the snap-in claw as a live part in his layout software. Because the circuit boards were already finished and the customer was already behind with deliveries, the plan was to quickly insert an insulating washer between the capacitor and the circuit board so that the creepage distance could be increased accordingly.
We took part! “Schule macht Betrieb” careers and education fair
Around 2500 visitors from Freiberg and the surrounding region took part on 15 September 2018 in the "Schule macht Betrieb" careers and education fair, which was hosted by the German Fuel Institute in Freiberg, where they learned about vocational training opportunities and available study courses. More than 100 exhibitors were present, covering almost every branch of industry. We attended for the first time with our current training professions “Wholesale and export trader” and “Office management”.

Hybrid capacitors
Hybrid capacitors are the logical development of aluminium electrolyte and polymer capacitors. They combine the advantages of both technologies in the range up to 80 V and are therefore extremely interesting for current application requirements in industry, medicine and the automotive sector.
Integration of passive components in circuit boards or modules
The technical requirements for complex electronic circuits are ever increasing, while the form factor is constantly being reduced. The integrated circuits use the space above circuit boards, and passive components – particularly block capacitors – need to be as close as possible to the CPU. The solution is to integrate passive components under the CPU or directly into the circuit board.
