Maximum Stability via Kama Alloy
The core of the new SEWK6398 series is the Kama alloy (often referred to as Karma or 6J22). This nickel-chromium precision alloy is characterised by a resistivity two to three times higher than that of Manganin, alongside excellent oxidation resistance.
Utilising a precision resistance alloy developed in-house by Resi, the component achieves an extremely low temperature coefficient (TCR) of just ±10 ppm/K within the range of +20 °C to +80 °C. This ensures minimal resistance fluctuations even under varying thermal conditions.
Innovative Manufacturing: Electron Beam Welding without Trimming
A particular highlight is the production process. Following precision machining, the resistor is joined using an electron beam welding system developed independently by the Resi Group. This rigorous process control results in a target accuracy of up to ±0.5%—achieved entirely without the need for subsequent trimming.
